Three generations have grown up playing Youth Baseball at OptiPark. From school teams (CYO, IPS, Shortridge HS, Purdue Polytechnic HS) to other Little Leagues and Travel Teams, McElroy Field sees a lot of games and practices in the Spring and Fall.

Plus you might even see the Indy Thunder Beepball (baseball for the visually impaired) team (5x World Champs!) practicing on the field.

Each team donates time and/or resources to maintain the field, both before practice and games, and help on special work days to improve the ballfield and park.
